Biography of Ron K. Hubbard

Ron K. HubbardRon works in many mediums. He produces art using pastels, watercolors, charcoal, oils and acrylics. He enjoys painting wildlife and scenics.  Ron's art is identified by the strong use of color in many of his creations.

Ron is a self-taught artist for the most part with very little formal educational training in the skill of drawing. He has been drawing since he was a young boy. He grew up with a photography background since his parents owned and operated their own photography studio. Through that experience he learned composition, lighting, and color. He uses life experiences for some of his art such as gardening and fishing with his grandpa.

Through the years Ron has won many awards. He has been published in North Light Art and two of his works were selected for a calendar featuring country life. He has been named Artist of the Year for his buckle design for the 30th Anniversary of the Bishop Mule Days Celebration. He has produced commissioned work as well.

Ron lives in the beautiful Eastern Sierra which is located on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in central California with his wife. He continues to search for inspiration in the splendor that surrounds him.

Ron says his goal is to bring happiness and pleasure to the owner and viewers of his art.
